I'm Alexis I am 18. I live in California. I'm currently a full time college student at RC. I'm a Pentecostal and have been my whole life. I'm a pk. I enjoy fashion, photography, and all things artistic. I like being different, so I'm constantly going beyond the limits of what is expected. I'm a firm believer in being your own beautiful. I live my life in a way that when people see me, they know I love Jesus. I try and radiate positive vibes at all times. &im horrible at explaining myself.

What are your passions?
I have an endless amount of passions. I love being involved in my church, god is my passion. I also love writing. I literally carry this little black journal everywhere with me and jot down sayings that pop up in my head. I also enjoy designing, in my spare time I graphic design ( a lot of people don't know that about me). I also spend a lot of time capturing photos (photography) and editing them. I also have a huge passion for singing. I love love love beautiful voices. I also enjoy baking! Ecspecially cupcakes! So many passions but so little time!

How did you first become interested in fashion and why is it important?
I became really interested in fashion in middle school but it's been a forever thing. At such a young age I was always dressing up and playing with clothes that it became apart of my identity. When I was little I would flip through my grandma's photo album and be inspired by their fashion from back then and I'm convinced that I was born in the wrong era. My grandma was such a fashionista! She plays a huge roll in my love for fashion! Also my mother, she's such a stylish lady! She inspires my fashion. Fashion became so important for me because it was a way to express myself without having to say anything. Recently fashion has allowed me to make friends with such amazing people. I think fashion is important because it has the intrinsic ability to make people feel good about themselves and express themselves. Fashion can inspire. To see someone wear something they love and the self-confidence they can gain from being happy about themselves—that's priceless!
Describe your personal style and its influences or inspirations.
Ooo, that's hard because my style changes as much as my mood does. I would have to say my personal style is eccentric, chic, mod, and a little bit of grunge. (Eccentric means a little strange or unordinary). My environment and mood influence my style. I usually dress to how I'm feeling or what I saw. I try to stay true to myself when I dress. Most of the time I don't keep up with trends but once in a while I like to. I like playing with patterns and different dimensions. My wardrobe does contain a lot of black. I'm almost always wearing something black.
What do you skimp on?
Tights. I mainly only own a ton of black tights but I'm not a huge fan of tights. I feel silly in bright colored or patterned ones. So I always skimp on tights.
What do you splurge on?
Oh god! Um everything! I like splurging on really good statement pieces! But I usually splurge a ton on handbags! I love a good tote!
What's your favorite fashion accessory?
I would have to go with, hands down... Watches! Ah I have such an obsession with watches that it's gotten out of hand and I don't care ha!
A fashion rule you always break:
The brown & black rule! I love brown and black together! Whoever made up that rule, shame on you! There really shouldn't be a limit on fashion let alone any rules. So my advice? Break alllll the fashion rules & go beyond what's expected!
What do you think is the most recent notable trend to appear/reappear, and what are your thoughts on it?
Like my first post said, TULLE SKIRTS! I've been seeing a whole lot of them everywhere! & I'm so happy they've resurfaced because tulle has always been my favorite! Just a versatile piece to play with!
What is the most underrated item in menswear and womenswear?
Hats! I don't see many people wearing hats anymore. I love me a good hat!! I recently went hat crazy at F21 and purchased every single style they had.
(Just some random outfits with hats, At one point I wore a hat everyday)

Black!
What's your next "must have purchase"?
I recently seen this strappy studded heels by Valentino! Ah! I die for them!
What's your ultimate showpiece in your closet?
Probably my high & mighty tee!
If I could wear it everyday then I would, but that would be pretty gross.
What would you say to someone seeking general fashion advice?
You won't find your own style by only reading fashion magazines. Style has to come from yourself. Trust your own style and bravely combine different clothes as you want.

Yes I do :) My middle name is Gabrielle, after my uncle Gabriel but that would be totally weird to have a boy middle name so they made it sorta girly.

what do you plan to do in life?
I plan on becoming a trauma surgeon, pretty intense.

Orange juice! I could live off orange juice. Or vanilla iced coffee! Those are my absolute faves!
Do you participate in any sports?
Not at the moment, but I did play soccer when I was little and in highschool. I wish I could still play! Soccer is my favorite!

Persepolis! I read this my first semester of college as an assignment and I fell in love! It's such an amazing book!

I have several. But I looove emeli sande, ecspecially "breaking the law"! Or "gravity" by royal tailor. Or anything sung by IBC!

Owls! They're intriguing creatures!

Warm & cozy by Victoria secret.

Spanish. And a little bit of Chinese, and by little I mean 10 words haha!

TARGET! I could go for one thing and come out with like 30. Or forever 21, I know, so unoriginal but they have some cute stuff all the time!

Olive Garden! Because I love love love pasta and their amazingly good breadsticks!

Yes! I love learning!

Christmas! Because after all, it's the most wonderful time of the year & it's Jesus birthday!

Pitch perfect! Rebel Wilson is my fave! She's hilarious!
